van tulip ceramics creates functional pottery rooted in presence, play, and the quiet joy of everyday use. i create functional pottery that is meant to be held, used, and returned to - pieces that feel comforting in the hands and at home in your daily rituals. mugs, bowls, and plates become invitations for slow mornings, shared meals, and small pauses throughout the day. working with clay is a meditative and playful practice for me. its an opportunity to slow down, be present, and get curious. i’m drawn to forms that are simple, sturdy, and approachable, with subtle variations that celebrate the handmade process. no two pieces are exactly alike, and i see that as part of their charm and honesty. i aim to make pottery that is approachable, welcoming both those who use it every day without thinking twice and those who delight in the details of craftsmanship. my hope is that these pieces bring a sense of coziness and care into people’s lives, reminding them that even ordinary moments can be held with intention.
